Erin Miller, CMHC

Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Erin received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Masters in Professional Counseling from Westminster College. During her graduate studies, she was able to work with children, adults and families-specifically dealing with trauma and substance abuse. She has completed her first training to become EMDR certified and will be fully certified by August 2016.

Erin has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. She has a strong background in working with substance abuse, trauma, and co-occurring mental health disorders (including depression, anxiety, PTSD, bi-polar as well as dealing with couples issues and trauma related to first responders). She most recently held the position of lead clinical therapist at a dual diagnosis inpatient facility, dealing with both mental health and substance abuse issues. Erin has a deep interest in trauma and how trauma effects people’s attachments, beliefs and the way they move in the world. She believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship and works hard to foster a sense of safety and trust. She utilizes a strength-based approach along with CBT, DBT and EMDR in her work.

In her free time, Erin enjoys working out, being with her rescue animals, cooking and enjoying the beautiful mountains of Utah with her husband and her Irish Wolfhound.
